I have never been able to say anything to this poem. Though I try pretty much every time. However! I realized I could simply describe, rather than try to be such a gushing fan slash critiquemeister. And this is absolutely true.
This is the only poem I've ever had cause that feeling you get. When the elevator drops under your feet, or just before you see what makes your car wheels lock in a screech to stop: adrenaline pulse, heart-skip, paused breath. Pretty much what you say in the poem. Reading it gives me it, for at least a one flushed panic of hope moment.
You know what there really needs to be a word for? THAT FEELING.
